“Tranquility”, 1950 South Ocean Blvd.

Description

Outdoor living spaces are growing in popularity as owners seek to maximize every square inch of their homes and yards. During this project, we worked with the homeowner and architect to emphasize the beauty and elegance of this magnificent property. By replacing many hardscape elements and preserving essential features, we created a space that exudes tranquility and sophistication.

Our work started with the complete reconstruction of the loggia. This airy, open space features new cast stone columns and arches, tumbled marble paving above, and cast stone paving below with a lovely pebble inlay. We preserved and reinstalled the pecky cypress ceiling and original handrail. The natural motif is echoed in the cast stone paving with pebble border at the fountain terrace which is further enhanced by a cast stone fountain basin, mosaic tile, new plumbing, and the original fountain centerpiece. We also installed a cast stone balustrade with embedded step lights from the fountain terrace to the pool deck and from the pool deck to the lawn. Structural repairs to the steps and pool deck, new cast stone paving at the pool deck and cabana and new cast stone columns at the pool cabana completed the project – and brought tranquility to this outdoor living space.

Dedicated and reliable.
