Bermuda, 254 Tradewind Drive

Description

Bermuda style architecture evokes a distinctly tropical feel. On this project, our client and architect wanted to create this clean and colorful atmosphere by transforming their Regency style home to Bermuda. To achieve that beach-like feel, we took a number of steps.

We removed the parapet wall around the entire house and extended the roof to create an overhang that included rafter tails with tongue and groove decking. Next, we re-roofed the house with flat white cement tile roofing. The original entry was removed and a new entry, consistent with the Bermuda theme, was constructed. New courtyard paving utilizing cut-to-size marble pavers complemented the newly constructed fountain. We finished the courtyard with a new wall and posts, as well as wrought aluminum fencing and gate. As a result of our combined efforts, we were able to successfully transform the style of this home, from Regency to Bermuda.

I had the pleasure of working with Mike Eison on a major project at my house. He is extraordinarily efficient and was always responsive to any questions or concerns I may have had. My favorite quality about Mike is his attention to detail. He has an extraordinary eye, and a vast knowledge of the construction business.
